Eucalyptus Lemon Scented Ironbark Essential Oil

Eucalyptus Lemon Scented Ironbark Essential Oil is complex, distilled from the leaves and used for flavoring, perfumery and aromatherapy. It has a fruity-lemon fragrance with rosemary-like back tones. Its high citral and limonene content delivers its wonderful citrus lemon fragrance as well as anti-fungal and anti-viral effects.

Known for its antiseptic prowess, it offers relief from troubled breathing in winter, air freshening, uplifting, relaxing and removes bad room smells and odors. It is also used in massage for relief from tired muscular aches. The major components methyl geranate, geranyl acetate, beta-phellandrene are all non-toxic, non-irritant, and have uses in perfumery. The citral components are said to be: anti-infectious, anti-viral, antiseptic, expectorant, anti-inflammatory and a digestive stimulant.

Its plant chemical constituents give the oil a much less aggressive aroma profile than either Lemon Myrtle or Lemon Tea Tree, and a much milder effect when used in properly-formulated skin and body care products.

This makes it an excellent air antiseptic when vaporized. Has been used in perfumery, toiletry preparations, and some flavorings. Also effective in masking odors. It is valued in Aromatherapy and used in massage oil blends for relief from tired muscular aches.
