There are several varieties of Cedarwood oils. This oil is very similar to Cedarwood Atlas both in aroma and benefits, except that its scent is a little bit sharper. It is a yellow to brownish yellow viscous oil, extracted from the wood. It is also incredibly beneficial for emotional and respiratory support. Coming from a cold climate, high altitude and native to the Himalayan mountains of northern India, Pakistan and Afghanistan, Cedarwood Himalayan is the most prized Cedarwood and has similar properties but a slightly different aroma to the Cedarwood Atlas. It can grow up to 50 meters high. The tree and its oil are highly sought after in India. The oil has valuable anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and insecticidal properties.
