Antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, astringent, expectorant, tonic, anti-microbial.

Added to your favorite massage oil Frankincense Carterii can help give a feeling of deep relaxation.

Skincare:
Frankincense Carterii may be helpful in reducing signs of aging as it has been
known to repair and regenerate skin cells, thereby reducing the appearance of scarring as well. This essential oil also has an antimicrobial effect on the skin.

Haircare:
When added to your favorite shampoo it can help strengthen hair roots.

Homecare:
This antiseptic oil makes a natural homemade cleaner and disinfectant to cleanse home and kitchen bench tops, eliminate harmful bacteria and deodorize. When mixed with baking soda and lemon essential oil, it creates a scrubbing paste that is useful for removing grease. To use it with a dishcloth, it can be blended with water and thyme essential oil to wipe down surfaces like countertops. Sprayed in a bedroom at night, it can promote relaxation and readiness for sleep.

Frankincense Carterii added to a diffuser may help with concentration when studying and can help relax and convey a sense of calm. Frankincense Carterii Oil, also called "Olibanum Oil", is a variety that is native to and most commonly grown wild in Somalia. Frankincense Carterii Essential Oil (Boswellia carterii) is made from natural, wild, old-growth tree resin and is considered the most valuable and highly prized form of Frankincense oil due to its richness and high levels of therapeutic constituents - over two hundred molecular compounds.

It has been an important source of incense in many Middle Eastern and African countries for centuries. It is high in alpha-pinene and other monoterpenes. The aroma of Frankincense Carterii is what most people are familiar with, it has a sweet smooth, relaxing and uplifting aroma and has many therapeutic properties. Indian Frankincense (Boswellia serrata), is also highly valued for its different benefits, is produced on a larger scale and is more affordable than Boswellia carterii Oil. The Oman/Yemen variety is called (Boswellia sacra).
